Activate Cloudflare Development Mode on your website

Definitions

Activating Cloudflare Development Mode temporarily disables caching and minification features of the Cloudflare CDN (Content Delivery Network) on your website.

This allows you to bypass the Cloudflare cache to see changes you’ve made on your website in real-time, allowing you or your website developer to work on your website without cached files getting in the way.

Before you start

✅ The Cloudflare CDN must be active on your domain name before completing the steps in this guide.

⚠️ Make sure to turn Development Mode off once you’re done making edits on your website.

Step by step

1. Go to the Cloudflare website and log in to your account

2. Find and click on your domain name

3. Go to the Caching tab, click the ▼ down arrow and select Configuration from the dropdown

4. Find the Development Mode section and toggle ON the Development Mode switch

5. To disable Development Mode, toggle OFF the Development Mode switch
