Activate ID protection (domain privacy) on your domain name

Definitions

Domain ID Protection, also known as domain privacy protection, hides your personal contact information on public domain records, also known as the WHOIS database.

When you register a domain name or transfer a domain name, your details like name, address, email, and phone number become visible on public domain records.

With domain ID Protection, the information for your domain name is replaced with generic and anonymized contact details on the WHOIS database to protect your identity.

Before you start

✅ Most domain extensions support ID protection, but some have restrictions or it’s enabled by default. If available, you can activate it.
