Definitions

Checking and fixing plugin and theme conflicts on your WordPress website means identifying and resolving issues that happen when plugins or themes don’t work well together, causing problems on your site.

Before you start

✅ You can use a free WordPress plugin to detect plugin and theme conflicts on your website.

⚠️ When it comes to plugin and theme conflict fixes, please consult with a website developer.

🚨 If you run into errors while troubleshooting, restore your website from backups right away.

Step by step

1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard

2. Click on Plugins

3. Go to Add New Plugin

4. Search for the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin

5. Click the Install button

6. Once installed, click on the Activate button

7. From your WordPress dashboard, click on Tools

8. From the dropdown, click on Site Health

9. Click on the Troubleshooting tab

10. Click on the Enable Troubleshooting Mode button

11. Once activated, you will see the Troubleshooting Modeenabled screen. On this screen, troubleshooting is activated only for you. Your website visitors won’t be affected.

12. To start troubleshooting potential plugin and theme conflicts on your website, expand the Available plugins and Available themes sections by clicking the dropdown arrows V for both

13. You may want to consider switching your website to a default WordPress theme such as the Twenty-Two theme to rule out any conflicts specific to your theme

14. As you continue enabling your installed plugins one by one, you can see which one is causing the problem on your website or incompatibility with other plugins and/or themes
