Your file manager organizes and controls all files within your hosting account, including those for websites and emails. It contains many folders and files, among them, there are two main ones you should be familiar with:

• domains folder: This main folder contains subfolders for all your hosted websites. There is only one domains folder per hosting account. Here is a visual example of the domains folder:

• public_html folders: These subfolders host your website files. Each website has its own public_html folder, where you typically manage files. Here is a visual example of a public_html folder:

Before you start

✅ Your file manager is accessible from your hosting control panel.

⚠️ Each hosting service has one file manager containing all its hosted files.

Step by step

1. Log in to your hosting control panel

2. Click on the File Manager button

3. Once you’ve accessed your file manager, you can manage your files. Here are some common actions:

• Select a single file or folder, a checkmark ✓ will appear on it.

• Right-click on any file or folder, to get a dropdown of management options.
