Change the nameservers of a domain registered with us

Definitions

Nameservers direct your domain to a specific hosting or DNS network and are always managed by your domain registrar, the company that handles your domain registration.

Keep in mind:

  • If your domain is registered externally, manage your nameservers in your account at that domain registrar.
  • If your domain is registered with us, your nameservers are automatically set to ours, and any changes can be made in your user dashboard.

Before you start

✅ To change the nameservers on a domain registered with us, it must be active and not expired.

🚨 When you change your domain’s nameservers, it can take a few hours to 24 hours for the new settings to update across the internet. This process is called DNS propagation.
