Definitions

Your hosting account IP address is a unique set of numbers that identifies the location of your domain name on the internet so people can find and access it.

Before you start

✅ Your hosting service has an IP address that applies to all the domain names hosted on your account.

⚠️ If you have multiple hosting services, make sure to check the IP address of the one where your domain is hosted and connected.

ℹ️ When you update your DNS records using your IP address, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect, a process called DNS propagation.

Step by step

1. Log in to your hosting control panel

2. Click on the Stats / Error Logs button

3. Click on the Account Configuration tab

4. Look for the IP row. Your IP address will be shown to the right. For example, the IP address of our hosting account is:

70.38.95.141

⚠️ Note: This is just an example. Your IP address may differ.
