Pinterest website verification proves that you own your website with Pinterest, so you can access Pinterest’s analytics and business tools.

Before you start

Use this guide to verify your website on Pinterest for free. If you prefer our team to handle it or need assistance during the process, submit a support ticket (service fees apply).

✅ You require an existing Pinterest account to complete website verification. If you do not, create a Pinterest account first.

⚠️ Your Pinterest account must be a Business (not Personal) account type for website verification.

Step by step

1. Log in to your Pinterest account

2. At the top right, click the down arrow v to open your menu and click on Settings

3. From the left-hand menu, click on Claimed accounts

4. Next to Websites, click on the Claim button

5. From the Choose how you want to claim popup, click the Download button from the Upload HTML file section

6. Keep your web browser open on the Pinterest page. Find the downloaded Pinterest HTML file on your computer, usually in the Downloads folder or Desktop. Here’s an example of what it looks like:

7. Open a new browser window and follow this guide: Upload files to public_html to upload the Pinterest HTML file to your website’s public_html folder

8. Once you’ve uploaded the Pinterest HTML file to your website public_html folder, return to the Pinterest page, and click the Continue button

9. Type in your website’s full URL starting with www. in the provided field and click the Verify button

10. You’ll get a Connected confirmation message. Once you see that, you can click the Done button.

11. You’ll now see your website claimed on your Pinterest account
