Start a new website

Definitions

Starting a new website means building a completely new website from scratch.

Before you start

✅ To start a new website, your hosting subscription must support multiple domains. If you have single domain hosting, upgrade your plan or purchase a new subscription.

⚠️ To start a new website, you must register a new domain name. If you need to register your domain, follow these steps: Register a new domain name.

🚨 If you registered your domain externally, make sure to update its nameservers to ours and wait 24 hours for DNS propagation.

ℹ️ This guide covers each step in a general guidelines format. If you’ve previously completed a step or have a custom setup, go directly to the section that corresponds best to your requirements.

Step by step

Check your hosting subscription

1. Check your subscription type:

  • Check if your hosting plan supports multiple domains.
  • If it does, you can start your new website using your current plan.

2. Upgrade or purchase a new plan if needed:

If your plan doesn’t support multiple domains, you have two options:

  • Upgrade your current subscription to support more domains.
  • Purchase a new hosting subscription for your new website.

Register your new domain name (or apply our nameservers)

Note: In this section, only complete one of the steps.

1. Register your new domain name with us

  • By registering your domain with us, your nameservers will be automatically set to ours.

2. Apply our nameservers to a domain registered externally:

  • If you registered your domain with a different provider, apply our nameservers.
  • After updating the nameservers, wait approximately 24 hours for DNS propagation.
  • If you use an external email service, review and update your MX records, if required.

Add your domain name to your hosting account

Activate your SSL certificate on your domain name

Install WordPress (or any other app) on your domain name

At this stage, you can install WordPress or any other app to start your new website.
