Add a new domain name to your hosting account
Definitions
Adding a new domain name to your hosting account means connecting a new domain to your existing hosting service.
Before you start
✅ To add a new domain, your hosting subscription must support multiple domains. If you have single-domain hosting, upgrade your plan or get a new subscription.
⚠️ To add a new domain, your domain must be registered. If you need to register your domain, follow these steps: Register a new domain name.
🚨 If you registered your domain externally, make sure to apply our nameservers and wait 24 hours for propagation and SSL coverage to activate.
Step by step
1. Log in to your hosting control panel
2. Click on the Domains button
3. Click on the + Add New button
4. In the Domain: field, type in your new domain name
5. Click the Create button
6. You’ll get a confirmation message and will see your new domain listed
7. You can start using your domain right away. For example, you can build a new website, create an email address, or manage it any other way you’d like.
🚨 Note: If you see an SSL error on your domain, wait approximately 1 hour for activation.
❗If the SSL certificate doesn’t activate after awhile, go ahead and install your SSL manually.
