Adding your email address to Outlook allows you to manage your emails directly from the Outlook app on your device(s).
Before you start
✅ Make sure the Outlook app is installed on your device before starting.
🚨 IMPORTANT: For all devices, you will require both your IMAP and SMTP settings, note them down before going to your device specific step by step instructions further below.
IMAP settings
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
⚠️ Note: Replace yourdomain.com with your domain name
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: Your email address password
- Port: 993
- Use SSL/TLS to connect: Enabled
SMTP settings
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
⚠️ Note: Replace yourdomain.com with your domain name
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: Your email address password
- Port: 587
- Use SSL/TLS to connect: Enabled
ℹ️ Note: If port 587 does not connect, use 465 as the SMTP port

1. Open Outlook
2. Click on Outlook in the menu bar
3. Select Preferences
4. In the Preferences panel, click on Accounts
5. Click the + sign at the bottom of the accounts panel and select New Account
6. Enter your email address and click Continue
7. Choose IMAP as the account type
8. Fill in the incoming mail details, these are your IMAP settings
9. Fill in the outgoing mail details, these are your SMTP settings
10. Click Add Account
iPhone

1. Open Outlook
2. Tap Get Started if it’s your first session, or go to Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account if you’ve never used Outlook before
3. Enter your email address and tap Add Account
4. When prompted, select the IMAP option
5. Type in your email address
6. Fill in the incoming mail details, these are your IMAP settings
7. Fill in the outgoing mail details, these are your SMTP settings
8. Tap Sign In or Next
9. After adding the account, choose whether to sync contacts and calendars, then tap Save
iPad

1. Open Outlook
2. Click on Outlook in the menu bar
3. Select Preferences
4. If it’s your first time using Outlook, tap Get Started. Otherwise, tap your profile icon then Settings (gear icon), and select Add Mail Account > Add Email Account
5. Enter your full email address and tap Add Account
6. On the next screen, select IMAP as your email account type
7. Put in your email password
8. Fill in the incoming mail details, these are your IMAP settings
9. Fill in the outgoing mail details, these are your SMTP settings
10. Once all details are entered, tap Sign In or Next
11. Follow any additional prompts to customize settings, like syncing contacts and calendars
12. Tap Save or Done to complete the account setup

1. Open Outlook
2. If it’s your first time using Outlook, a welcome screen will appear; otherwise, click the File tab and select Add Account
3. In the Add Account window, enter your email address and select Advanced options
4. Check the box for Let me set up my account manually and click Connect
5. Choose IMAP as the account type
6. Fill in the incoming mail details, these are your IMAP settings
7. Fill in the outgoing mail details, these are your SMTP settings
8. Enter your email password when prompted and click Connect
9. Outlook will confirm that the account setup is complete
10. Click Done
