Delete an email address

Definitions

Deleting an email address means permanently removing it so you can no longer send or receive emails with that address.

Before you start

✅ You can delete an email address if you no longer need or use it.

⚠️ When removing an email, be very careful to delete the correct email address.

ℹ️ After deleting an email address, make sure to remove it from email apps on your devices’ as well.

🚨If you delete an email address by mistake, you can restore it immediately from a backup.

Step by step

1. Log in to your hosting control panel

2. From the top right, click the down arrow ∨ and choose the domain you want to delete an email for

3. Click on the Email Accounts button

4. Find the email address you want to delete and check the box next to it

5. Click the Delete button

6. Check the box next to Clean Forwarders

7. Click the Confirm button

8. If you used the deleted email address on any email app (Apple Mail, Outlook, Gmail, etc.), disconnect and delete it from those apps too. ❗IMPORTANT: Failing to do so will result in failed login attempts that can block your IP address from the hosting network.
