Deleting a WordPress website means removing all its content, themes, plugins, and database from your hosting account.

Before you start

✅ Deleting a WordPress website is useful if you want to restart from scratch or no longer need a site.

⚠️ When you delete a WordPress website, you are wiping out all its existing website data.

❌ Deleting a WordPress website does not ‘delete’ the domain. To do that, you have to cancel your domain.

🚨 If you deleted a WordPress website by accident, perform a data restore right away.

Step by step

1. Log in to your hosting control panel

2. Click on the WordPress Manager button

3. Find your WordPress Installation and click the down arrow V

4. Click the Remove button

5. Check the Remove Directory box

6. Check the Remove Database box

7. Check the Remove Database User box

8. Click the Remove Installation button

9. On the Are you sure you want to remove this installation? click the OK button
